Bentley plans a sporty "S" derivative of the Flying Spur sedan that features special interior and exterior styling touches, brightly painted brake calipers and a "motorsports-inspired" infotainment graphics package. It will be formally introduced at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex, England, this month.
The 2023 Flying Spur S will be available equipped with either a 542-hp, 4.0-liter V-8 or a hybridized 2.9-liter V-6 that produces a combined 543 hp but is also capable of traveling up to 26 miles on electrical power alone, Bentley says.
The Flying Spur S trades its traditional chrome trim pieces for high-gloss black brightware, with the exception of the Bentley badge. Its standard 21-inch, or optional 22-inch, wheels are accented by bright-red brake calipers, and its lighting covers are also darkened to complete the look. Inside the cabin, special S badging is scattered throughout the luxury interior.
Bentley says the new S model range, debuting June 23-26 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, will also take to the famous hillclimb as part of the First Glance class.
